The BSC is a group of divers in the Battlefords area of Saskatchewan, Canada. We have a mixture of ages and experience that defies the imagination. A wide variety of backgrounds make us a most interesting group. Our enthusiasm is boundless!
During the summer we dive the lakes of Saskatchewan and Alberta visiting wrecks, sunken relics and underwater sites.
In the winter months we dive weekly at the North Battleford Co-op Aquatic Centre and offer skill development programs for our members. We enjoy activities and games that challenge all our members while keeping our skills fresh.
We have social gatherings in and out of the water for members, families and friends to enjoy.
At Battlefords Scuba Community Inc., we know about the amazing connection that can occur when man goes underwater and explores a whole new world. Let us guide you in that amazing journey.
Dennis McCullough, our club instructor can help you move from novice to advanced skills, keeping you safe all along the way. He is a Master Scuba Diver Trainer, an IDC Staff Instructor and Specialty Instructor.
The Battlefords Scuba Community is fortunate to be able to share our love of scuba with the next generations. During the 2017-2018 winter season, we were able to reach 324 students through our discover scuba program.
These programs are thanks to funding awarded by the following organizations:
Sasktel Foundation: Thank you for awarding the BSC $350 to conduct the Discover Scuba for Schools session with thirteen students and one teach from Sakewew school on March 1, 2018.
City of North Battleford Leisure Services: Thank you for awarding the BSC $5000 for leadership development within our club. It really helps us pay it forward.
Battlefords Agency Tribal Chiefs (BATC): Thank you for awarding us the grant of $11,418 for the BSC Discover Scuba for Schools project which allowed us to introduce 324 grateful high school students to scuba diving.
